With roots stemming to middle class citizenry in Bihar, India, Kumar has attracted global attention in the physical therapist world and with the public through his work and business centers in Michigan and Indiana. His intense thirst for knowledge drove him to significant educational successes – to finish a master’s in physical therapy and then a Ph.D. in Social Sciences along with several post graduate degrees in medicine.
Along the route to his current popularity, his professional path has led him to meet with dignitaries from around the world. Along with Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi and President of Rugby, Kumar was personally invited by the Prime Minister of India to attend India Day in 2004 as a NRI (non-resident of India) where his personal achievements at home and abroad were recognized. A stellar achievement in his professional career, in 2004, during a Republican gathering in Washington, D.C. where Kumar met President George Bush, he was honored as Businessman of the Year.
