Italian Filmmaker to Shoot in Bihar

Deputy Chief Minsiter Sushil Modi has said that Italian filmmaker Sergio Scapagnini has accepted his offer to shoot his next film in Bihar. Disclosing this while speaking to newsmen here on Tuesday Modi, who recently returned from a 10-day trip to the UK, Italy and Canada, said he met the filmmaker in Rome.
“He told me about shooting his next film based on his own novel Lala in India because the main character hails from a place located near the Bihar-UP border.

Pointing out that Scapagnini’s novel entitled “The story of Lala” has been published by Penguin, Modi said it had been translated in Bengali with the title “Lalu Gap”.

“The filmmaker appeared to understand India quite well and has visited the country about 40 times – sometimes even twice in a year. He also visited Bihar a couple of times,” Modi said pointing out that Scapagnini has already made films on India.
